All men & boys are welcome to join us from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Remember dads that you can bring your son(s).
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. -
This is where we get back to basics, to get back to our foundation. Matthew 28 says we are to make disciples. If we can lead men to be disciples of Christ, everything else will follow. So what is a disciple?
Disciple - someone called to live “in” Christ, equipped to live “like” Christ, and sent to live “for” Christ. There is only one way in which a man can win the battle for his soul. Our single greatest need is to become a disciple of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, the Christ. We are to be discipled into the Gospel.
This path is neither easy nor glamorous and often is thankless work. But becoming a disciple of Christ will change the entire course of our family for many generations to come.
The men of House of Power come together on the third Thursday of every month from 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. for a special teaching specifically for us. It’s a Word that will strengthen, challenge and encourage you. God wants us to be leaders who also serve. We won't settle for just being good or average, but being excellent husbands, fathers, sons, brothers and friends. We are strong in our spirits, humble in our lives, and loving others as Christ loves us.
We also get together as often as our schedules allow to get away from the normal grind. Maybe getting hanging out over breakfast, or stuff ourselves with some wings watching a football game, spend the night camping, and many other possible activities. We are always looking for any reason to hang out together. You won't find any better brothers than these.
We love Jesus and have a blast serving Him. Did you know you can be obedient to the Word of God and still laugh, play and have fun? It's true. A man with the Joy of the Lord can handle anything life throws at him.
Come join us, won’t you? There is so much more that we can do together than we ever could alone. For questions please contact Pastor Donnie by email donnie@hopochurch.org
